As I stood on Omaha Beach with my back to the ocean staring at the German gun emplacements, all I could think of was those brave young men who gave everything for us.

One of the most moving moments of Normandy is visiting the Normandy American Cemetery. Thousands of white granite crosses and stars of david.
Beautiful in its symmetry and so sad. With all due respect I stood one of my Veterans art next to a Medal of Honor recipient. |
