CONTEMPORARY IMPROVISATIONAL PORTRAITS
As I look at what I've created I have to agree with all these comments, these are unique in their approach.
My goal was not to approach any portrait with a preconcieved idea but to allow the face to wash over an inspire me and then marry it to a choice of different watercolor backgrounds that I choose to start from. Very spur of the moment very IMPROVISATIONAL.
Thus its name CONTEMPORARY IMPROVISATIONAL PORTRAITS
I use a mix of watercolor and dry medium to emphasis and delinated the portraits.
All of which have a very real classic approach to the portrait drawings. In all cases the art is very chiaroscuro.
Most recently - CONTEMPORARY IMPROVISATIONAL PORTRAITS have had a One Man show (Ariel Fine Arts Gallery) and my drawing
of Madonna also featured in another major gallery show
(Jean Tengelalson Gallery)
The 91st American Artists Professional League presented at the famous Salmagundi Gallery in NYC. Featuring my drawing of Sequel.
All portraits are available for purchase either as the orgiinal or as a fine art print.
