A BRONX TALE - A Touch Of Home.
As I reminisced about my life growing up in the Bronx (it doesn’t matter which borough you came from its the same), my mom would hang out of the window, always waiting for me, and yell to come upstairs
During the summer, we had no air conditioning, so I would sleep on the fire escape.
It was moments that I'll never forget.
The painting says so much to me and maybe to you, too.
This original A Touch of Home painting is NOT for sale - prints ARE AVAILABLE.

A TOUCH OF HOME

RED BOOT
A short quip from my motorcycle diaries. Back in the day when I was in art school I drove a motorcycle to art class. I fell for this well super sexy artsy girl. A real art school fashionista, me with long hair and a mustache from the Bronx her with the looks and the best of the rest. So I would drive out to her home out on LI and I remember pulling up to her driveway and watching the blinds squeeze open as pairs of eyes watched her get on my bike as we drove off. I can only imagine what her parents were thinking, hey they were right. hahahahaha |
COLTRANE
Back in my Jazz days I would go to the great Jazz spots - Basin St., Village Vanguard and others. I ran into a friend who said he saw Coltrane playing at night by the Brooklyn Bridge. I drove there quite a few nights to see if I would find him, I never did. In the 70s when I was an ad guy a friend recreated a TV spot for Sony of that Coltrane experience. When I saw it it lived with me forever. |
NIGHT MOVES - 1956 Buick
The Bronx NY, in the 1950S and 60S was an amazing place. Endless action at night and all we wanted to do was drive around be seen and hang out. I didn’t want anything to change in my life, and the women, well that’s another story. It was all great. I’m sorry I didn’t keep the Buick. |
Original paintings and art prints available. Coltrane painting sold.
